My Otherworldly Shura Field

Chapter 42 Restia's Trick

Chapter 42 Restia's Trick

Dawn slowly opened the curtain, and another brilliant and colorful morning descended on the world with freshness.

The sun, just rising from the eastern hills, was a deep red, like a newly forged bronze plate, shining brightly, making the clouds beside it blush with shame.

As the sun climbed higher and higher, growing brighter and brighter, its sharp rays pierced through the thick fog that tightly enveloped the earth, tearing it into strands. The fog was forced to scatter and flee, disappearing without a trace, allowing light and warmth to dominate this blue planet.

The air was so fresh. Tender green grass swayed and stretched in the gentle morning breeze, glistening with dewdrops that rolled and sparkled on its tips. Unknown wildflowers bloomed, their blossoms smiling, nourished by the dew. The air was moist, and the verdant leaves and fragrant buds released a rich, refreshing scent, making it exceptionally invigorating to breathe.

Early in the morning, Lucifer was summoned by Laestia to a riverbank at the foot of a mountain. The peach blossoms on both banks were in full bloom, and a gentle breeze was blowing, causing the peach blossoms to flutter and filling the air with fragrance.

Lacey stood beneath the peach tree like a goddess of flowers, gently stroking her long silver hair as she danced gracefully, a few petals falling onto her hair.

Under the peach tree, a fairy of peach blossoms danced, setting off a beautiful scene. Lucifer was mesmerized, as if he were in a paradise. Especially her beautiful legs, which made him drool, intoxicated, and infatuated.

"You've arrived?" Restia turned around with a stunning smile and looked at the dazed Lucifer.

"Hmm, wasn't there supposed to be some kind of coronation ceremony? Why did you call me here?" Lucifer snapped out of his daze and nodded, asking as he pressed on.

“Let’s duel!” Restia said calmly.

"Why?" Lucifer didn't understand what Restia meant. Why fight? It's not like they had nothing better to do.

"There's something I haven't told you, so I challenge you to a duel. If you win, I'll tell you. If you lose, no matter what happens in the future, you're not allowed to abandon the Spirit Cat Clan, and you must fulfill your responsibilities as the Cat King. Being the Cat King isn't something you can just do as you please. If you don't want to be the Cat King anymore, you must get my permission." Restia's smile vanished, replaced by a serious expression, and she spoke each word clearly.

"Is this matter that important?" Lucifer said indifferently. What he cared about most was what Restia was hiding from him. As for the Cat King, how could he not do it? He wasn't stupid. This was a great opportunity to make his move on the little girls in the Spirit Cat Clan! He couldn't wait to become the Cat King, so why would he refuse?

“It’s not important to me, but it’s very important to the future Elvis. If you knew that, you would definitely regret becoming the Elvis.” Restia said calmly.

"Heh, I am indeed very curious about what you've been hiding from me. But do you think you can defeat me?" Lucifer chuckled. In terms of strength, Restia was definitely no match for him; the outcome was already predetermined.

"That's hard to say. I had a good night's rest yesterday, and my level has already reached level 15. I'm very confident in myself. You're not scared, are you?" Lestia smiled teasingly, as if she was deliberately trying to provoke Lucifer.

But Lucifer wasn't going to fall for it. Provocation wouldn't work on him. Since the outcome was already decided and he was sure to win, he decided to play along with Leticia and see what she was up to. She was about to hold her coronation ceremony, and she still wanted to fight him.

"Alright! I accept your challenge. You're going to lose anyway, but I'd like to see what you're hiding." Lucifer flashed a bright smile, revealing two rows of white teeth, brimming with confidence.

So what if Restia's level is higher than his? After fighting the wolf pack, his level also increased to level 14. Not to mention level 15, he can defeat level 16 or 17 people. Even he himself doesn't know how strong his current combat power is.

I really don't know if Restia is genuinely stupid or just pretending. Knowing she can't win, she still insists on beating him. Why didn't she just tell him directly? Does Restia have some hidden trump card? Otherwise, why does she act so confident?

"Since you've accepted, let's swear an oath! I'm afraid you'll renege on your promise."

"I'm afraid you'll try to renege on your promise!"

Then, the two swore an oath in the name of the goddess Nadis and challenged each other to a duel. The loser had to fulfill the bet unconditionally, or he would be punished by the goddess.

There really are gods in this world. If you break your oath, you will be struck by lightning and reduced to ashes. No matter where you hide, it will be useless. No one can resist the power of the gods. If Lucifer hadn't been so confident in himself, he wouldn't have dared to make an oath so easily.

After the oath was sworn, two streams of light descended from the sky and entered the space between their eyebrows, clarifying the stakes and establishing the oath. The next step was the battle to determine the victor.

"Don't say I'm bullying you. I'll give you one hand and not use any weapons. If you force me to use my other hand, then I'll admit defeat." Lucifer looked every bit the gentleman.

"Hehe, you said it yourself." Restia smiled slyly, revealing a sinister smile that made Lucifer's heart skip a beat. Could Restia be hiding her strength?

"Take this!" Without a word, Restia drew her longsword from her waist and lunged at Lucifer with incredible speed, like a swift gust of wind. However, this speed was far too slow for Lucifer.
