Chapter 41 Plan
Chapter 41 Plan
After hearing Lucifer's words, Chris fell into deep thought. Indeed, the enemy she was facing was no ordinary person. Even if she recovered to her peak condition and had the help of the prodigy Lucifer, she might not be able to win for sure.
However, their strength is ultimately limited, and Lucifer is right; they are outnumbered. If they establish their own power as Lucifer suggests, it will surely be of great use in the future.
However, the Spirit Cat Clan is a weak race that she could destroy with a flick of her finger. It wouldn't even be enough to fill the enemy's teeth. Such a force is completely useless and is instead a burden.
However, what if she could control other powerful races? Chris couldn't help but have a bold idea, one that she would never have considered if Lucifer hadn't reminded her.
“You can become the Cat King of the Spirit Cat Clan, but I need a more powerful force. If you can’t do that, don’t waste your time,” Chris said after a few seconds of silence.
“What can’t I do? Have you forgotten my abilities? I am fully capable of creating a terrifying force for you.” Lucifer smiled slightly.
Indeed, Lucifer wasn't lying. He possessed a skill comparable to a divine ability: Blood Mark. He could gain power by absorbing the blood of others, and he could not only take it for himself but also copy it for others to use.
Chris has already experienced this firsthand. Lucifer can really use this ability to create a terrifying force, and perhaps, with that force alone, he can defeat her enemies.
It must be said that Chris was moved. However, if she wanted to create a terrifying force, Lucifer's skills were clearly insufficient, and if there were too many people, it would probably seem monotonous.
To build this power, Lucifer must acquire more abilities. Although the Spirit Cat Clan is a weak race, the weaker they are, the easier they are to be overlooked. Perhaps this weakness can be exploited. In his senior year, he can find people with special abilities and have Lucifer acquire them to strengthen his power.
The more Chris thought about it, the more feasible the idea seemed. She then said, "Alright! I agree to let you, Lucifer, become the Cat King of the Spirit Cat Clan."
Huh? So straightforward?
Lucifer was somewhat taken aback. He had thought it would take a lot of persuasion to convince Chris, but Chris agreed so easily. Was she really moved by his words?
In any case, he has made a promise and will naturally keep it. With his abilities, building a terrifying power is no problem at all. The stronger his power is, the more beautiful women she can meet. Why not?
"Alright! Of course, let's hold the coronation ceremony tomorrow!" Laestia smiled, feeling relieved. She had finally resolved the matter and felt much lighter. This was the first time she had ever felt so tired.
“Yes, no problem.” Lucifer nodded.
"Leave the rest to me. You must be tired. I'll have someone take you to rest." Then, Restia waved her hand, found a little girl, and led Lucifer and the other two away.
Watching the two leave, the members of the Spirit Cat Clan felt as if they had survived a calamity. With these two around, their Spirit Cat Clan would surely flourish in the future, and they would no longer have to worry about being bullied by other races or powerful magical beasts.
Moreover, they no longer needed to fear the Wolf Fang Clan. As long as they dared to come alive, Lucifer and his companion would ensure they could not return. Suddenly, they felt confident and were no longer timid.
But isn't Lucifer a bit silly?
Didn't Silfa know that even after becoming the King of the Cats, his power was still less than that of the Queen of the Cats?
Or is it that he doesn't value power?
Could it be that the clan chief really didn't tell Lucifer about this, but instead wanted to force him into this situation and keep Lucifer around? If that's the case, then the clan chief is incredibly cunning and far-sighted!
"Sister, are you really going to make Lucifer the King of the Cats? If Lucifer becomes the King of the Cats, won't you be..." Emily suddenly spoke up. She had wanted to ask this ever since her sister suggested making Lucifer the King of the Cats, but her grandfather had stopped her. Now she finally had a chance to speak.
"What's wrong? Are you afraid I'll steal your Lucifer brother away?" Restia said jokingly, gently stroking Emily's little head with her snow-white, soft hand.
"Sister, what nonsense are you talking about! Brother Lucifer is not mine!" Emily blushed, feeling a little shy. It was a bit precocious for her to feel shy about such things at her age.
"Alright, I have my own reasons. This is for the future of our people. You're too young to understand." Laestia smiled gently, her beauty captivating. She doted on her younger sister, and her actions were all for her protection.
"Take Grandpa back to rest first!"
“Alright!” Emily nodded helplessly. She knew that once her sister made up her mind, she wouldn’t change it. She didn’t understand the adult world. Then she helped her grandfather leave slowly.
The old patriarch remained silent, only glancing helplessly at Laestia with a pang of heartache. If Laestia weren't the patriarch, she wouldn't have had to sacrifice herself to bear such a heavy burden.
However, if this wasn't the case, the Spirit Cat Clan would have no future. He could only pray that Lucifer would be a good cat king and a good man; otherwise, how could he face the sisters' deceased parents?
Afterwards, Restia gave a brief explanation of tomorrow's coronation ceremony and left. She was still injured and needed to treat her wounds and change into clean clothes. As the clan leader, how could she be so disheveled and lose face?
