Chapter 136 Secret Door
Chapter 136 Secret Door
Just as the middle-aged man was cursing, a group of people rushed over.
The man in the lead looked very gentlemanly, while the others were carrying M41 submachine guns.
The newcomer first introduced himself: "My name is Genebourne, and I am the owner of this island. And you gentlemen are?"
Kayan stepped forward and said: I am Captain Kayan of the 357th Regiment of the Kadia Assault Regiment.
Keenbold paused for a moment, then regained his composure and said, "So it's Captain Keenbold. What brings you here all of a sudden?"
“We’re looking for someone named Wayne,” Russell said from the side.
Keenbird smiled and said, "I'm sorry, Master Wayne isn't here with us. I think he should be at home."
"Young Master Wayne has been kidnapped here by an assassin known as the White Reaper?" Russell continued.
Keenbold shook his head and said: "Killers? They're all mentally unstable guys. He's probably lying to you."
“We’ve been talking nonsense here. It seems you’re not willing to hand it over. We’re going to search this island thoroughly.”
Keenbold sneered: This isn't a place you can search at will.
"Get out of the way!" Russell roared, then raised the Fire Kirin and pressed it against Keinbird's head.
The guy remained completely unfazed and said calmly, "Even if you kill me, I won't move aside."
Just as they were locked in a stalemate, more and more island guards armed with submachine guns surrounded them.
Fearing that Russell might actually fire in his excitement, Kayans reached out and grabbed the spearhead of the Fire Kirin.
A Thunderhawk gunship slowly landed, and five silver-armored giants stepped off.
The imposing presence of the Space Marines was overwhelming. Standing over three meters tall, they were clad in silver terracotta armor, carrying explosive guns in both hands, and wielding massive tactical knives, chainsaw swords, or chainsaw axes at their waists.
As the company commander, Morey walked at the front, his face serious, the two gold studs on his forehead gleaming in the sunlight.
When the Space Marines suddenly appeared, Keenbord's heart skipped a beat. He thought to himself: This time, I'm afraid we're really doomed.
Company Commander Morey frowned as he approached Keinbird and asked, "What's going on? How dare you point guns at the Star Guardians?"
Keenbold quickly smiled apologetically and asked, "May I ask which chapter's Space Marine you are?"
Morey glanced at him and said: "Company Commander Morey of the Silver Knights."
"Respected Company Commander, what brings you here all of a sudden?" Keenbold asked curiously.
He was naturally very curious, after all, how could these legendary warriors suddenly appear here?
Company Commander Morey glanced at him and said: "Don't ask about things that are not your business. You still haven't answered me what's going on."
Kayan said: "Company Commander, this guy named Keane Bird not only refuses to hand over Young Master Wayne, but he's also preventing us from searching the island."
“Young Master Wayne isn’t here, so how can I hand him over? It’s not that I want to stop your search, but there are really many important guests here, and your search will definitely disturb them. I can’t afford to bear their anger,” Gene Bird complained.
There's no point in putting on a tough front in front of Space Marines.
"If they want to blame me, let them come to me!" Company Commander Morey assured him.
"Kayans, Russell, what are you two standing there for? Go search! Anyone who dares to stop us, kill them on sight!" Morey ordered the two.
Kayans and Russell were overjoyed and immediately divided the commandos into groups to begin a thorough search of the island.
Keenbold wanted to stop him, but under Morey's watchful gaze, he dared not speak; at such a short distance, the Space Marines could kill him instantly.
“Don’t worry, let them search,” Company Commander Morey tried to reassure Keinbird.
Keenbird gave a bitter smile, thinking that this time it was all over. However, he secretly made up his mind that he would rebel sooner or later anyway. If they really pushed him to the limit today, he would just rebel. As the island's owner, he knew exactly how many secrets were involved. If he revealed any one of them, he would be dead.
With the orders of Company Commander Morey, Russell's behavior became increasingly violent, and anyone who dared to stop him would be pushed to the ground.
"Who are you? How dare you barge in here?" A burly man in a leather jacket stopped Russell and his companions and questioned them loudly.
Without wasting words, Russell went up and threw a punch, which made the big man scream and fall to the ground.
"Search!" Russell ordered, kicking the door open again.
They entered the six-story building. Russell had just kicked open the door when the loud noise startled the people inside. One by one, a group of beautiful young women dressed in flamboyant attire looked over.
When they discovered it was a group of fully armed soldiers, they were all stunned and stood frozen in place, not understanding why so many soldiers had suddenly barged in.
"Everyone who is not involved, get out of here! We need to find Master Wayne!" Russell roared.
The girls looked at each other, seemingly with no intention of leaving.
Enraged, Russell raised the fire unicorn in his hand and fired at the ceiling, causing the shattered marble ceiling to fall down.
The girls screamed in terror and ran away. Only after all the girls had left did Russell order the search to begin.
After searching the entire building for half a day, Russell and his team finally found no trace of young Master Wayne.
Just as they were about to leave, a commando came up to Russell and said: "Sir, I found a secret door in one of the rooms."
"Take me there and let me see!"
In a rather secluded room, one door was locked.
"Smash it open!" Russell commanded.
A commando wielded a hammer and smashed it down on the lock. With a loud "bang," the lock was broken.
Russell opened the door and went inside. Behind this hidden door was a long corridor. Strangely, the walls on both sides of the corridor were covered with colorful paint, and gusts of cold wind blew out from inside, carrying a sweet and cloying smell.
"You all wait for me outside, I'll go in and take a look by myself!"
"Sir, please let us go in with you!"
Russell shook his head and said, "I suspect there's something fishy going on here. If there's some powerful enemy inside, you'll just be throwing your lives away. I'll go alone, and you can meet me outside."
The commandos fell silent; they were all too weak in front of Russell.
Russell, carrying the fire unicorn, began to walk deeper into the corridor.
The corridor was so long that Russell didn't know how long he had been walking and it always felt like he would never reach the end.
He was extremely nervous. Although he possessed strength far exceeding that of ordinary people, he couldn't determine what was locked inside.
