Chapter 135: Pleasure
Chapter 135: Pleasure
Vivian and Catherine were chatting happily and soon put their arms around each other’s shoulders and ran off to whisper together.
Lynn saw that the two of them were busy, so he decided to go and bother Xiya.
When he found Xiya, his elf wife was tutoring the children with their homework.
Little Youli and Little Yuna were already eight years old, but due to their humble origins, they hadn’t received any formal education before.
They had previously discussed sending the two children to the Celestial Destiny Magic and Martial Arts Academy, but due to the turbulent times in the Celestial Destiny Empire, it never happened.
Now, when there was nothing to do at home, Xiya would teach the children to read and write and give them appropriate exercises to lay the foundation for martial or sorcery practice.
When Lynn came over this time, the two little ones were doing their exercise assignments. Both had a natural talent for academics and didn’t need Xiya to teach them twice before they could quickly grasp what they had learned.
With their studies going well, the two little treasures were diligently training: one lifting a bar-cat up and down, the other wearing a cat hat while meditating.
Speaking of which, Xiya was a great enlightenment teacher. She was of elf origin and primarily an archer—a typical elf archer, which is a branch of the warrior profession.
But because she was of elf origin, she also knew a bit about magic, though it was limited to her race’s innate nature magic, which was definitely enough for enlightening young children.
No matter which warrior path Little Youli wanted to take in the future, building physical strength was definitely the right approach. That’s why Xiya arranged for her to lift Gugi, a fat cat softer than a dumbbell, warmer than a dumbbell, and weighing no less than ten kilograms, definitely a perfect exercise.
Little Yuna wasn’t having it easy either. Deep meditation is not something any beginner can smoothly immerse into, especially since Xiya gave her a small flower as a distraction on her head. At the same time, Little Youli had already lifted Gugi twenty times, while Little Yuna was still in light meditation.
Nevertheless, both little ones were quite talented. Little Youli had excellent eyesight and not-insignificant strength, making her a natural-born sharpshooter candidate, while Little Yuna had a keen sense of smell and a remarkable perception of nature, making her suitable for developing in earth or wood elements. The only pity was that although she was considered Xiya’s daughter, she didn’t have elven blood; otherwise, focusing on nature magic would surely have a great prospect.
"Huff huff, Daddy Lynn is back."
Upon seeing Lynn walk over with his hands behind his back, Little Youli, who was lifting the cat, sweetly called out "Daddy," even causing the fat orange cat being lifted to meow as well.
Little Yuna, who was in light meditation, seemed disturbed by her dad’s arrival, unconsciously frowning, with signs of leaving her meditative state.
Seeing this, Xiya hurriedly gestured for Lynn and Little Youli to be quiet. The path of a mage is inherently more difficult than that of a warrior, and Little Yuna didn’t have the foundation from a young age. The cat on her head was already disturbance enough for a beginner like her, so there was no need to use other means to disrupt her meditation.
"Let them keep training, and how about we go enhance our relationship?"
After Xiya silenced him, Lynn tried to communicate with Xiya through a mix of gestures and words while fearing she might not understand, he also supplemented with some sign language.
"No way, it’s daytime now."
Xiya understood Lynn’s meaning, but still crossed her hands in front of her chest, gesturing a big "No cheekiness" to him.
"Then you give me a kiss, and I’ll postpone it until the evening."
Lynn gestured along with the sign language.
"Then come inside."
Xiya summoned him with a finger, then went into the room herself.
Lynn casually patted Little Youli’s round head with a smile before happily following inside.
However, as soon as he stepped into the room, he was ensnared by creeping vines seemingly appearing from nowhere.
Although this small trick could be easily shattered by a slight tremor of his tiger-like body, since Xiya might be playing a game with him, he decided not to resist.
"I know I can’t bind you, but could you at least stay quietly in the room for a while until I finish tutoring the kids before we do anything personal?"
Xiya controlled the vines to bind Lynn like a dumpling, only leaving his head exposed. Such nature magic wouldn’t even restrain an opponent of equal level to her, let alone have any impact on Lynn.
But Xiya had no other way to restrain Lynn. It wasn’t that she wasn’t willing to have intimate time with Lynn—it just needed to be the right timing. After all, once the kids were tucked in and the door locked, she wouldn’t refuse however it played out.
But now it was not feasible; Lynn was new to being a father and didn’t understand the importance of education. However, she had raised many children and knew the serious importance of this matter.
"I’ll listen to you, but obedient children deserve rewards, don’t they?"
Lynn could roughly grasp Xiya’s train of thought, given his own upbringing in an orphanage. Although he didn’t work in related fields later in life, he could understand these things immediately, and a bit of thought would make it clear.
"What reward do you want?"
Xiya glared at Lynn with her beautiful emerald eyes, not understanding why he still asked for rewards when she was going to spend the night with him anyway.
"Hehe, wear that for me tonight."
Lynn made a fly-rubbing-hands motion and laughed.
"That? Oh... But even if you just normally ask, I would agree to it."
As for Lynn’s request for a reward, Xiya didn’t even hesitate. Although still a pure elf, once she chose Lynn as her partner, she was willing to agree to anything as long as it wasn’t illegal, against her beliefs, or harmful to others.
It was just a pair of stockings, though some small groups of people view them as dangerous, equating them with a Succubus Collar. Ultimately, it was just an aid for bedroom enjoyment and not something truly evil that controlled thoughts or actions. As a heart-in-nature elf, she didn’t promote these things but neither did she reject them.
"I know you would agree, but something earned feels more satisfying than something received simply by asking."
Lynn shook the only movable part, his head, speaking with a smile on his face.
"So you mean the colder I am to you, the more you’ll enjoy being close to me?"
Not quite understanding Lynn’s reasoning, Xiya furrowed her brows.
"Not really, but it’s not entirely wrong either. Anyway, I enjoy getting rewards after completing tasks rather than getting all rewards handed over immediately."
As a professional player, who could resist the allure of unlocking achievements through tasks?
Getting a max-inventory full achievement right from the start might sound fun, but it takes away more than half the enjoyment.
