Chapter 57 The Secret Underground
Chapter 57 The Secret Underground
Maria Lisa used a knife to pry open a tin can filled with shards of glass marbles before stopping—consider it like she'd unearthed a treasure.
Within the consciousness space, Maria Elisa, Lu Renkui, and the system WQBYRZM discussed the next plan—that is, who to deal with after dealing with Makachi.
"Do we really have to kill them all?" Lu Renkui asked, looking at Maria Alyssa's seemingly harmless round face, after hearing her next plan to kill the second male lead, Hankla.
Maria Elisa blinked and said, "There's nothing we can do. If they're alive, they'll definitely have a chance to fight back."
“You two can actually come together,” the system WQBYRZM said. “Make them all into a vegetative state, so you won’t feel guilty about killing them.”
Lu Renkui turned his head and glanced at the system WQBYRZM.
System WQBYRZM looked back directly: "What's wrong? Am I wrong? If we turn them into a vegetable, they won't be able to move either, right? Since they're alive, we don't have to worry about them retaliating."
“Good idea, I’ll think about it.” Maria Elisa happily accepted the suggestion from System WQBYRZM, then went downstairs and piloted the spaceship to Kladas.
Last time, Maria Elisa only toured a small part of the planet Kladas. This time, she decided to fly her spaceship further afield and see other places.
The spaceship circled the planet Cladda once, and Maria Elisa found a small town that looked a bit bustling. She found an open space and piloted the spaceship down.
Maria Elisa changed her clothes, left the cabin, and disguised herself as a passerby before heading to the town.
The people in the town seemed much easier to talk to than the villagers who visited last time.
After chatting with the townspeople for a while, Maria Elisa began asking what was fun in town—if there were any projects that could be promoted, perhaps that could be used as a selling point to boost the planet's economy.
Upon hearing Maria Elisa mention fun places, the smile on the face of the town resident she was talking to froze. He then led Maria Elisa to a slightly older brick house and said, "The fun things are over there."
Then the person quickened their pace and ran away as if fleeing.
Maria Elisa looked at the brick building with a puzzled expression, but couldn't see anything special about it. She just thought it was an ordinary hotel, only more dilapidated than other tourist attractions that provide places for people to rest.
Maria Elisa was curious, but she went inside anyway. The brick house, like the outside, was nothing special, and gave off a dilapidated feeling.
The service was also subpar; it's broad daylight and the front desk staff are sleeping.
Maria Elisa walked to the front desk and tapped on the table.
A man at the front desk was startled awake from his nap. Seeing Maria and Elisa's unfamiliar faces, he asked somewhat irritably, "What do you want?"
"Oh, it's like this. I heard from others that there are some fun things to do here, so I came to check it out." Although Maria Elisa was dissatisfied with the receptionist's attitude, she still held back her anger.
Upon hearing that Maria Elisa was there to have fun, the receptionist looked Maria Elisa up and down, seemingly probing, "Are you sure you're here to have fun?"
The service attitude also needs to be improved. Maria Elisa gritted her teeth inwardly, but still held back, maintaining a smile on her face: "Yes, that's me. Then please tell me what's fun?"
The receptionist looked Maria Elisa over carefully but couldn't see anything valuable on her.
Just as the receptionist was about to kick Maria Elisa out, a woman entered the hallway next to the reception desk. The woman looked at Maria Elisa with a probing gaze.
After scanning Maria Elisa up and down, the woman's gaze finally settled on the pocket watch hanging around Maria Elisa's neck.
The pocket watch was exquisitely crafted. Although it was made of brass and much of the gold plating had worn away, the woman recognized it at a glance as a masterpiece, priceless and rare. Sadly, it had disappeared with its previous owner. No one knew where it had gone.
Even a fake is worth a lot of money, the woman thought.
"Yes, of course," the woman said with a fawning smile. "Please come with me."
Maria Elisa's anger was replaced by confusion. She subconsciously touched the spot where she kept her gun to make sure she had brought the fully charged laser gun before following the woman inside.
The woman led Maria Lisa inside, muttering words that sounded like some kind of slang.
After walking through a rather dark corridor, Maria Elisa followed the woman to a wall that seemed out of place with its surroundings.
A painting hangs on the wall, depicting seven or eight naked girls bathing in a pool.
The woman took the painting down, and then there was a "click" sound. A crack appeared in the middle of the wall, then split open to both sides. Behind the wall appeared a room, decorated in a style completely out of place in the entire town—or rather, the entire planet Kladas—too extravagant.
Maria Elisa felt that this decorating style looked familiar, and then she suddenly remembered that it was a style she often saw when she was on the capital planet.
Seeing this, Maria Elisa already vaguely understood something. She remained expressionless and followed the woman inside.
The overwhelming aroma of spices made Maria Elisa feel like sneezing.
If she hadn't seen it with her own eyes, Maria Elisa probably would have had a hard time imagining that such a desolate town could hide a place that could be called an underground paradise. She felt as if she had returned to the capital planet, listening to the undercurrents beneath the seemingly casual conversations of those high-ranking officials and nobles.
The woman led Maria Elisa to a room, then respectfully opened the door and led Maria Elisa to a soft chair, saying, "Please wait here for a moment, I will bring the person here soon."
After the woman left, Maria Elisa glanced around the room, looked at the paintings for a few more moments, and finally reached under the armchair and pulled out a sex toy.
Maria Elisa had already anticipated this when the woman led her in, and was prepared, so she wasn't too surprised to see this. But Lu Renkui was bewildered: "Wait a minute, what is this?"
"You don't know?" Maria Elisa was also a little confused—she couldn't believe that Lu Renkui, who was about the same age as her, had never seen this thing before.
"I don't know." In fact, Lu Renkui already had a guess in her heart, but she didn't want to say it.
"Then let's not know. It's not a good thing anyway." Maria Elisa heard footsteps and quickly threw the sex toys back under the chair. She watched quietly as the door opened and the woman led a group of men in—their ages ranging from nine to thirty.
"Since this is your first time here, I wasn't quite sure what kind of products you'd like, so I brought all the styles we have here." The woman clasped her hands together and gave Maria and Elisa a flattering smile. "Which one do you like?"
"Damn, this really is a den of iniquity. I thought it was a drug den." Lu Renkui couldn't help but swear.
Maria Elisa, on the other hand, seemed quite calm—after all, it would be a miracle if none of the more than three hundred illegitimate children had tampered with the impoverished planets left behind by the old man, Ottolai.
Maria Elisa propped her chin on one hand, glanced at the group of men, and finally looked at the only two minors among them—a nine-year-old and a twelve-year-old child—and said, "Let them stay."
Maria Elisa then pulled a wad of cash from her pocket and tossed it to the woman: "You can go now."
The woman's eyes lit up, her face crinkling with laughter. She then left the two children Maria Elisa had pointed out. Before leaving, she called out to the children, "Kimberly, take good care of Ai immediately. Don't let him talk back to the guests."
The woman then hurriedly took all the other men away.
As the footsteps of the group of people faded into the distance, Maria Elisa sat up straight, beckoned the two children over.
Nine-year-old Ai immediately grabbed the hem of twelve-year-old Kimberly's clothes nervously and followed in Kimberly's footsteps; Kimberly, on the other hand, kept his eyes on the ground and occasionally observed the expression on Maria Elisa's face.
Both children prayed silently that the female guest had no strange quirks, so that their bodies would suffer less.
Seeing the two children cowering in fear, Maria Elisa frowned, a hint of pity in her eyes. She made the two children stand in front of her, then rose from her chair, half-squatted down to be at Kimberly's eye level, and gently asked him, "I'm Marissa. What are your names? How old are you?"
Kimberly was a little confused as to why this guest was suddenly asking this question. He assumed that the woman in front of him was just like the other women who came here, pretending to sympathize with him before making fun of him.
But this is already quite good. Kimberly thought to himself, mental torture is far better than physical torture.
"Kimberly, madam, please remember me." Looking into the woman's golden eyes, Kimberly whispered his wish.
