Chapter 453 Will Robots Miss Little Fish? (Part 30)

After listening to Lin Huanming's words, Feng Yuhan and Wang Yinghui both knew that this meant K011 was going to undergo more rigorous socialization training.

So today, K011 left the research building alone, while Lin Huanming and the other two sat inside. They launched a drone and simultaneously brought up a map and K011's perspective to detect K011's movement trajectory.

K011 walked through the places they had been before, then turned and headed in a different direction they had never been before.

Upon seeing this, Feng Yuhan, who was controlling the drone, turned the remote control in her hand to make the drone keep up with K011's pace.

"K011 has moved to a place with low foot traffic." Wang responded, broadcasting the scene as seen by K011 to Lin Huanming and Feng Yuhan in real time.

“Okay.” Lin Huanming looked at the map. On the map, K011 was going to a residential area. It was normal that there were few people in the area during working hours.

K011 walked on the road, stepping on the concrete. This was the first time it had come out by itself as a robot. Before, Professor Lin and the others had been watching over it. Now, Professor Lin said that he wanted it to have more of its own understanding of humanity and the world, so he let K011 come out on its own.

The roar of drone wings reached K011's ears. K011 knew that these were drones released by Professor Lin and his team to ensure that nothing would happen to them.

K011 walked past quiet residential buildings and found that there was no road. Since walking any further would lead to someone else's community, she turned a corner and continued to explore areas she had never been to before.

Reaching an intersection, K011 saw a huge building surrounded by a fence in the distance. Several large characters were written on the building, and K011 confirmed that it was a hospital.

There was a park near the hospital, so K011 went into the park. There were many people playing in the park—couples with children, elderly people in wheelchairs, and patients with IV drips who also wanted to play.

K011 strolled around the park, and as it was about to leave, it saw an elderly person sitting in an electric wheelchair, slowly driving the wheelchair towards the pond.

K011 watched quietly as the old man drove towards the pond, and then walked over as well.

The old man came to the pond and saw a small fence, three bricks high, built around it. He frowned and drove off in another direction.

The old man circled the pond three times, but finally found that there was no lower part of the pond, so he gave up circling the pond and instead drove his wheelchair to other places.

The elderly man tried to start the wheelchair, but found that it wouldn't move because the power was out.

This is an electric wheelchair; although it has a manual function, it's not very user-friendly.

The old man moved his wheelchair a little, then felt too tired and stopped to rest. He angrily pounded the armrests of the wheelchair with his hands, but it didn't seem to do any good. The wheelchair was out of power and couldn't move no matter what he did.

"Let me push you along." The old man heard a voice behind him, which sounded like a child, but he couldn't be sure of the child's gender.

"Stay away!" the old man said irritably. "I don't need your help!"

“It’s near a pond, which is quite dangerous,” K011 said, ignoring the old man’s obviously unfriendly tone. “You have difficulty moving around, let me take you away. Where is your guardian?”

"I told you I don't need you!" The old man had a terrible temper, and hearing K011's words only made him angrier. He pounded on the armrest of his wheelchair, trying to scare away the child pushing it. "What are you doing here? Are you trying to lie to me?!"

“Please stop banging on the handrail,” K011 said, pushing the elderly man away from the pond. “It’s not good for your health.”

The old man seemed unconvinced upon hearing this and tapped the wheelchair a few more times before finally stopping, as tapping it did indeed hurt quite a bit.

The drones flying overhead recorded the entire scene. Wang Yinghui looked up at Lin Huanming and asked, "Professor Lin, should we stop K011's operation?"

"We won't use K011 for now, we'll just push the old man away from the pond," Lin Huanming said. "Its database has information on how to care for patients, so we don't need to stop it."

“Okay, Professor Lin.” Wang replied and continued looking at his screen, which showed trees, grass, and the gray hair of an old man sitting in front of him.
