Chapter 237 was not easy at all.

Fang Cheng carried the tea to the young lady's room.

As before, Fang Cheng pushed the door open and went in. After taking two steps, she stood still and waited for someone to come over and take the tea from her hand.

After waiting for a while and still no one came, Fang Cheng felt a little strange, so she took two more steps forward.

This time the lights did come on, but they were brighter than before, illuminating the young lady's entire room.

This wasn't necessarily a good thing. Fang Cheng saw the young lady's face clearly, as well as the long row of wooden servants standing on either side of her.

"Miss, I've prepared the tea." Fang Cheng lowered his head, not daring to look at Li Yin's face again—Fang Cheng always felt that the smile on Li Yin's face was strange.

Li Yin remained silent. Fang Cheng only heard a snap—it must have been the young lady opening the folding fan in her hand.

Fang Cheng didn't dare to speak, but just kept his head down, waiting for Li Yin to choose to let him leave.

After waiting for a while, Fangcheng saw a paper servant come to him. It reached out and took the plate of tea from Fangcheng and handed it to Liyin.

The equation remained unchanged, waiting for the servants on both sides to throw him out.

But this time, no servant threw him out. Li Yin drank her tea without saying a word, which made Fang Cheng a little nervous.

The young lady's room was very quiet, so quiet that the only sound could be the sound of her swallowing tea.

After a while, the sound of the young lady swallowing her tea stopped; she must have finished drinking it.

Only then did Fang Cheng realize that he was being lifted up by two people and thrown out of the room.

After being thrown out of the room, Fang Cheng stood up, rubbed his buttocks, and breathed a sigh of relief: thankfully, he got away with it.

There was still one last piece of paper left to look at. Fang Cheng thought to himself, "I'll take a look when I get back to my room."

A gust of wind blew by, and a large number of fallen leaves were swept up from somewhere, hitting Fang Cheng squarely in the face.

Fang Cheng closed his eyes, patted his face which was stinging from being hit by falling leaves, and opened his eyes to find that the scene had changed—from the corridor where the eldest young lady's room was located to the corridor where the second young lady's mourning hall was located.

Because a sign prohibiting people from going upstairs was found in the passageway from the 2nd to the 3rd floor, along with a burned red thread, scattered bells and talismans, and two broken kerosene lamps.

There was also Bai Xingyi and Gu Huayang lying on the ground, covered in blood.

At that moment, Fang Cheng felt her heart skip a beat. Her mind went blank as she walked forward, squatted down, and tremblingly reached out to check if the white-clad woman lying face up on the ground was still breathing.

Feeling a tiny breeze pass through his fingertips, Fang Cheng breathed a sigh of relief and used the same method to test Gu Huayang's breathing.

Fang Cheng was relieved after sensing a similar, minute airflow coming from his fingertips.

Why are those two here? Fang Cheng wondered, "Did they not have time to run away?"

Thinking of this, Fang Cheng looked warily at the passageway between the second and third floors—the charred red thread lay listlessly on the ground, the talismans were mostly burned, and several bells were broken.

"They're all damaged like this, there shouldn't be anything left to threaten them," Fang Cheng thought, and tried to drag Gu Huayang and Bai Xingyi away.

To prevent their heads from bumping or hitting anything during the dragging process, Fang Cheng even took off his two coats and wrapped them around each of their heads.

Fang Cheng's original plan was to first drag Gu Huayang and Bai Xingyi to his room. If there was still time, he would look for some alcohol or something to wipe them down.

After finally managing to move both of them downstairs, Fang Cheng dragged them along the corridor for a while. Feeling a bit tired, he was just about to rest when he looked up and his pupils suddenly dilated—the Second Miss appeared, carrying a huge spiked club.

Fortunately, the second young lady is currently facing away from Fang Cheng and the others.

Fang Cheng hurriedly dragged Gu Huayang and Bai Xingyi behind a pillar, holding their breath and cautiously peeking out to observe Li Yue's movements.

Upon noticing that Li Yue had turned around, Fang Cheng immediately pulled his head back, covered his mouth and nose, and dared not even breathe.

Da da da.

The sound of high heels clicking on the wooden floor grew louder as they approached.

Although he knew that Li Yue probably couldn't see the spot where he and Gu Huayang were hiding in white, Fang Cheng felt his heart pounding more and more as the footsteps grew louder.

When the footsteps reached her side, Fang Cheng heard them stop, and her heart leaped into her throat. Instinctively, she grabbed the kerosene lamp at her waist, thinking that if the Second Miss wanted to kill her, she would throw the lamp away; the Second Miss was a ghost now, perhaps afraid of fire?

Fang Cheng glanced at the Second Miss's feet, which were clad in blue and white porcelain colors, out of the corner of his eye.

Those feet stood there for a while, then a gust of wind blew by, and Fang Cheng felt all the stray hairs on his forehead fall onto his face.

Looking at the second young lady's feet out of the corner of his eye, he discovered that the feet had disappeared.

To be sure this wasn't some kind of trick, Fang Cheng carefully glanced upwards again, but couldn't see the Second Miss's body.

After circling around again, Fang Cheng even mustered up the courage to peek out from behind the pillars to see what was blocked by the pillars. Finding no trace of the Second Miss, Fang Cheng finally felt relieved and got up. He grabbed one of Gu Huayang's and Bai Xingyi's feet and led them towards his room.

After a short while, Fang Cheng was already panting – it was quite tiring for an underage girl to drag two adults along.

Fang Cheng gritted his teeth and dragged the two people back to his room—he had to get Gu Huayang and Bai Xingyi through the most dangerous corridor first, right?

As they were walking, two people suddenly appeared, startling Fang Cheng. He first hid in a corner, then peeked out to see who they were.

After discovering that it was Chen Yi'an and Fu Qu, Fang Cheng looked at their waists. Both of them had kerosene lamps hanging from their waists, indicating that they were players.
