Chapter 131 Alien Invasion 8
Chapter 131 Alien Invasion 8
At this moment, Su Lan endured the pain, reached out and grasped Shen Ying's hand. His hand was cold, but he squeezed it firmly and said gently, "I'm fine, don't worry, you did a great job."
His voice was weak, but his gentle tone was like a spring breeze, trying to soothe Shen Ying's flustered heart.
Once the bleeding had stopped a little, she carefully cleaned the debris from the wound, applied ointment, and wrapped it with bandages.
Throughout the process, her forehead was covered in sweat, and her heart was in her throat. Only after the wound was treated did she breathe a sigh of relief, slump to the side, and burst into tears.
Su Lan gently wiped away her tears and said softly, "Why are you crying? I'm perfectly fine."
Shen Ying rolled her eyes at him, still worried. She asked Su Lan, "Does it still hurt a lot?" Su Lan's lips curled up slightly, a sly glint in his eyes. "Kiss me, and it won't hurt anymore."
Shen Ying was stunned for a moment, then burst into laughter through her tears: "What time is it, and you're still in the mood for jokes?"
She thought Su Lan was just trying to tease her and ease the tense atmosphere from before.
Su Lan looked at her earnestly, her deep eyes filled with love: "I'm not joking."
Shen Ying was stunned again. She stared at Su Lan, a ripple of emotion stirring in her heart.
She frowned slightly, lost in thought, her mind a jumble of emotions.
After a while, as if breaking free from some kind of restraint, she seemed to have made up her mind. Her cheeks flushed, she got up and walked to Su Lan's side, gently hugged him, and slowly kissed his lips.
At first, the kiss was gentle and shy, like a breeze caressing the surface of a lake.
However, Su Lan quickly took the initiative, reaching out to tightly embrace Shen Ying's waist, pulling her closer to him, and deepening the kiss.
Their kiss became passionate.
Shen Ying closed her eyes slightly, her eyelashes trembled, and the tears remaining in the corners of her eyes shimmered with a faint light.
She could feel the warmth emanating from Su Lan, a reassuring heat, like a fireplace in winter, gently warming her heart and causing warm ripples to spread through her soul.
Su Lan's heartbeat was rapid and strong, as if keeping time for their kiss. The rhythm reached Shen Ying's ears, causing her cheeks to flush slightly, like the sunset reflected on snow. This heartbeat was a testament to his emotions, a silent yet deeply affectionate expression.
Shen Ying unconsciously gripped Su Lan's clothes, her fingers curling slightly, the subtle movement filled with longing.
Her body trembled slightly.
Su Lan wrapped her arms around Shen Ying's waist, gently yet firmly.
The force was as if it were protecting a rare treasure, afraid that if it was too loose it would fall, and if it was too tight it would damage it.
Their lips touched and caressed each other, each touch like a feather brushing across a lake, creating delicate ripples of emotion.
Their breaths mingled, carrying each other's scent. In this small space, they seemed to be in a dreamlike realm, with only each other, immersed in this deep and reserved kiss.
Everything around them had vanished: the cold experimental equipment, the scattered medical supplies, and the tension and chaos brought by the survivors outside—all were like graffiti erased by an eraser, gone without a trace.
Time seemed to stand still, yet it also seemed to flow eternally within this passionate kiss. They were immersed in this vortex of love, and the surrounding air became sweet and warm.
Shen Ying and Su Lan's lips had just parted, and before they could even savor the sweetness of that moment, a deafening shout and a terrified scream poured in from outside like a surging tide.
Their eyes instantly filled with vigilance.
"Something's happened!" Shen Ying said urgently, her voice trembling slightly.
"Go!" Su Lan gritted her teeth, enduring the excruciating pain from the wound on her back, and limped toward the source of the sound.
With each step, he could feel the gauze at his wound being soaked with blood. The excruciating pain tore at him like the claws of a demon, but his eyes did not flinch.
Upon entering the hall, they saw two aliens chasing after the group of survivors, baring their teeth and claws.
The alien's enormous body appeared even more terrifying in the confined space. It exuded a pungent, fishy stench, and each swing of its claws stirred up a gust of foul wind.
The alien's terrifying appearance made Shen Ying's heart race, her stomach churn, and fear surge into her heart like a tidal wave.
Her hands trembled slightly involuntarily, and her feet seemed to be nailed to the ground.
"Don't panic, everyone!" the survivor leader shouted. He gripped a homemade longsword tightly in his hand. Although his face was pale, his eyes were firm as he tried to calm everyone down.
"Su Lan, how are you? You're injured, you can't push yourself like this!" Shen Ying looked at Su Lan with a face full of worry.
"I'm fine, let's deal with the immediate problem first." Su Lan said as he rushed towards the cabinet where the weapons were kept. His forehead was covered with large beads of sweat, and his steps were a little unsteady.
Shen Ying took a deep breath, trying to suppress the fear that haunted her.
She knew she couldn't back down now; for Su Lan's sake, for everyone's sake, she had to be brave.
She gritted her teeth, mustered her courage, and picked up a steel pipe. The pipe swayed slightly in her hand, her palms sweating profusely.
"Hey! Come over here!" she shouted, her voice cracking slightly, as she charged toward an alien while trying to nimbly dodge its attacks. With each dodge, her heart leaped into her throat.
Seeing Shen Ying rush out, Su Lan's eyes flashed with urgency. He quickened his pace and finally obtained the weapon he had been researching. The weapon gleamed with a mysterious luster under the light.
He quickly adjusted his aim and fired at another alien. "Boom!" An energy pulse shot out, striking the alien the instant it was knocked back by the powerful impact, letting out an angry roar.
"Attack together, everyone!" The survivor leader brandished his longsword, boosting morale.
Although the survivors were frightened, they responded enthusiastically. Some used sticks to hit the alien's legs, while others shot it with homemade bows and arrows.
"Ah!" A survivor was struck by the alien's tail, sent flying, and crashed heavily to the ground.
