Chapter 111 The Path of Defying Gods 3
Are you looking for me?
That gentle and melodious voice brushed against Shen Ying's heart like a feather, its tone so certain, as if he already knew everything.
Whether it was Shen Ying's imagination or not, she seemed to hear a hint of pleasure in it, like a cunning cat seeing a little mouse in trouble, yet having a strange interest in the little mouse.
Shen Ying opened her mouth, but found that something was stuck in her throat. After a long while, she finally found her voice: "Who...who are you?"
"You came here to find me, didn't you?" the man asked again, his tone still firm.
An unbelievable thought flashed through Shen Ying's mind, and she asked in a trembling voice, "You... could you be a god?" The words seemed to slip out of her mouth uncontrollably.
Her gaze was fixed on the white-haired, blue-eyed man in front of her, her eyes filled with tension and anticipation.
The air around her seemed to freeze at that moment, with only the sound of her own rapid heartbeat echoing in her ears.
"That's what humans do call me." The man nodded slightly.
Shen Ying pondered to herself, in this world full of awe and faith in the gods, surely no one would have the audacity to impersonate a god?
Moreover, the person before him exuded an extraordinary and refined aura, and his noble and holy appearance made him seem completely unlike someone who would commit such deceitful acts.
For some reason, even though it was only their first meeting, she couldn't help but feel trust in him.
Shen Ying mustered her courage, her eyes sparkling with anticipation: "My Lord God, I wish to serve by your side. Please grant my request."
She gripped the hem of her clothes nervously, her heart pounding in her chest.
The deity looked at her, his deep blue eyes showing no hesitation, nodded slightly, and said softly, "Alright."
Shen Ying could hardly believe her ears. Things had gone so smoothly, and this unexpected surprise made her heart feel like it was about to soar.
She was so excited she almost jumped up and cheered, but seeing the god right in front of her, her sense of restraint made her try her best to control herself, though the corners of her mouth couldn't help but turn up, and her eyes were full of unconcealed joy.
With a gentle wave of his sleeve, the deity caused the surrounding scenery to change instantly.
Shen Ying felt a blur before her eyes, and when she opened them again, they were already on the top of the clouds.
This place is like a fairyland, with golden sunlight streaming down like silk threads, bathing everything in a dazzling glow.
A magnificent temple stands before you, its white marble pillars gleaming with a sacred light in the sunlight, and the gemstones on its roof refracting a myriad of colors.
Not far away, there is a crystal-clear pool with shimmering water, like a sapphire inlaid on the earth.
Various kinds of flowers bloomed by the pool, including the beautiful roses she recognized, with glistening dewdrops on their petals, like teardrops on a beautiful woman's cheek.
There are also those unnamed flowers, which are colorful and some are shaped like bells. When the wind blows, it seems that you can hear the crisp sound of bells.
Some petals are layered upon layered, like a magnificent sunset on the horizon.
The meadow was like a soft green carpet, stretching into the distance.
The trees are lush and green, and some branches are covered with fruits that shimmer with a strange light. The fruits shine like stars, as if they contain the secrets of the universe.
Some trees have mysterious patterns on their trunks, patterns that resemble ancient writing, telling stories from long ago.
There were also some cute little animals around.
There were little foxes with wings, their fur was colorful and shimmered with a dreamlike luster in the sunlight, and they flew lightly in the air, occasionally playfully circling around Shen Ying.
There is another creature that resembles a small deer but has transparent antlers with bands of light flowing through them like the Milky Way. They leap gracefully across the grass.
Apart from the gods and the newly arrived Shen Ying, there were no other servants, angels, or other deities here; it was as if it were a sacred sanctuary belonging only to them.
During her first few days here, Shen Ying felt as if she were in a beautiful dream.
Every day, she wanders through this wondrous world above the clouds, like a child who has stumbled into a fairyland, filled with curiosity and awe for everything around her.
Shen Ying stepped out of her little house—a small and cozy dwelling arranged for her by the gods, located on one side of the temple.
Every step felt like walking on soft clouds, the fresh air carrying the fragrance of flowers and the scent of earth, soothing and refreshing.
She walked to the edge of the pool and watched the strange fish swimming freely in the water.
Their scales are multicolored, some even shimmering with mysterious runes. As they swim, the runes appear and disappear, as if telling an ancient story.
The fish would occasionally leap out of the water, drawing a beautiful arc in the air, and the splashing water droplets, under the sunlight, would resemble crystal-clear gems scattered all over the ground.
On the grass, the cute little animals gradually became active.
Winged foxes would fly over, hover around her, gently brush her cheeks with their soft tails, and make clear calls, as if greeting her.
Transparent antler-like creatures resembling deer frolicked at the edge of the nearby woods. The silvery light flowing through their antlers appeared even more mysterious in the morning mist. When they ran, their hooves touched the grass and emitted a faint glow like fireflies.
The temple was majestic and solemn under the sunlight. Shen Ying would always stand in front of the temple for a long time, feeling the sacred atmosphere.
The temple gates were tall and heavy, with exquisite carvings depicting the birth of all things, the movement of stars, and other scenes that Shen Ying couldn't understand but could sense their profound meaning.
In just a few days, Shen Ying's footprints covered every corner of the world.
She saw no servants other than the gods, nor did she find any angels or other deities.
This place is tranquil and peaceful; every inch of land, every leaf, and every flower exudes a serene atmosphere, as if it were a sacred sanctuary belonging only to them.
Without the noise and disturbance of the outside world, only she and the gods, above the clouds, enjoyed this unique tranquility and beauty.
Just as Shen Ying was feeling hungry, she saw a flash of light before her eyes, and when she opened them again, she found herself in a dreamlike place.
Here, high above the clouds, surrounded by swirling mist, it's like a dream.
Not far away, the deity sat at an ancient stone table. His white hair fluttered gently in the breeze, and his blue eyes were as deep as the sea. His holy aura made everything around him pale in comparison.
Shen Ying slowly approached, her gaze falling on the stone table. A look of surprise flashed in her eyes, and she hurriedly sat down, a wide smile spreading across her face. "Wow, it all looks so delicious!" she exclaimed excitedly.
The deity sat opposite her, tilting his head slightly, a smile playing on his lips, his blue eyes filled with tenderness as he looked at her. He placed one hand lightly on the stone table and said, "Are you hungry? Eat."
The stone table was laden with food, its aroma filling the air and permeating one's very being.
