Chapter 221 Death Desert

Chapter 221 Death Desert

After that, Agreed went to see Warwick again. He was now much stronger than before and had firmly entered the demigod level. When Warwick saw Agreed again, he was as excited as a child seeing his father. Agreed then spent some time with him, pointing out many problems in his current cultivation and patiently explaining and teaching him how to go further.

Afterwards, Agreed took another look at the development of the grasslands. Animal husbandry had matured there, and the grasslands produced enough meat to meet the needs of all the clans. Under the management of Otto and the centaurs, the grasslands had developed very well.

Finally, Agreed returned to the grey dwarf city in the underworld, where the Minotaur and Hydra had settled and garrisoned with their clans. Upon Agreed's return, the Minotaur rushed to him and shouted.

"Master, you're finally back! Minotaur has military intelligence to report to you."

Agreed said with some surprise, "Oh, are the orcs and drow elves from the Underdark starting trouble?"

The Minotaur nodded and reported, "Yes, the orcs attacked us in the fourth year after you left, but we repelled them. The drow elves also tried to attack us in the twelfth year after you left, but they failed as well. For the past eight years, they have been harassing this city and interfering with its development. Moreover, the drow elves have recently acquired a batch of dragon beasts from somewhere. I observed with my spirit particles that they are now gathering an army to prepare to attack this place."

Agreed's eyes grew colder as he listened, and he growled angrily, "Those reptiles of the Underdark, how dare they even trespass on my territory! Minotaur, you and Hydra continue to guard this place. If there are any unusual movements, contact me immediately using your spiritual energy. I have some things to attend to. Once things are settled over there, the first thing I'll do is lead you through the Underdark."

Minotaur then kowtowed and cried out, "Yes, sir!"

Agreed continued to praise, "You were very obedient. The development of the Grey Dwarf City is better than I expected. You are all very good. You have basically completed the task I assigned you perfectly. Don't worry, you will get your share of the rewards once I'm done with this."

The Minotaur shouted indifferently, "It is our honor to share our master's burdens, and to be by your side is the greatest reward for us."

Agreed was amused by this remark. Although he knew it was just flattery, he patted the Minotaur on the head and said, "You still have such a nice way of speaking. Alright, you go ahead and get busy. I have to leave too. I'll come back and take you through the Underdark!" With that, Agreed flapped his wings and flew through the portal, disappearing into the underground world.

Minotaur looked at the spot where Agred had disappeared and muttered to himself, "Master, it's so good that you're back."

……

In the Death Desert of another continent

A dragon-man with bright red scales was carrying a huge desert lizard towards his camp. That dragon-man was Tiga's son, Kuga, and today he was carrying out a hunting mission issued by the tribe to obtain meat for the tribe.

The environment of the Death Desert is extremely harsh. The plants are mostly cacti and thorny shrubs, and desert lizards and camels that can survive on this are not common. If it weren't for the fact that the lizard people are not afraid of anything except the cold and can survive for a week without eating again after a full meal, the lizard people would probably have been forced to leave this desert long ago.

There are oases or some relatively resource-rich territories in the desert, but most of these places belong to the brass dragons, while the blue dragons mostly live in quicksand and caves beneath the desert. In addition, the undead who control most of the desert territory make it very difficult for the lizardman tribes to move around here, and even obtaining basic food is very difficult.

For twenty years, the lizardman tribe has suffered endless harassment and oppression from the local natives, while the so-called dragon god that Tiga spoke of has never come to provide them with even the slightest help.

This made the new generation of lizardmen, including Kuga, who had never met Agreed, resent the dragon god, but there was nothing they could do about it. Even Kuga was disappointed with his father's pedantry and boring loyalty.

In the distance, some ridges gradually appeared on the horizon, which were the caves where they lived. To avoid the cold of the night, the people dug very deep caves and covered the entrances with animal skins at night, which allowed them to sleep peacefully at night without freezing to death.

Just as Kuja returned to their cave, a huge black dragon suddenly appeared. Kuja, seeing this, assumed it was a mirage or some other kind of optical illusion, so the ignorant child picked up some sand and threw it directly at the dragon's head.

And this giant dragon was none other than Agreed. Sand and stones flying from afar hit his dragon horns. Agreed looked at Kuga in front of him with some confusion. He was of dragon-human blood but did not recognize him. This person in front of him must be a descendant of Tiga. But why was he being hit with stones? Could it be that Tiga... betrayed him? That shouldn't be the case.

Kuga's actions prompted Agreed to quickly mobilize his spiritual energy to investigate Tiga's activities in recent years. Kuga was unaware that his small action almost resulted in the Lizardman tribe receiving a "Nine Clans Elimination Package." After understanding the situation through the spiritual energy, Agreed secretly breathed a sigh of relief. After all, he had invested a lot of effort in Tiga, and he would be reluctant to kill him.

Agreed lowered his head and exhaled a hot breath, then used telepathy to call out, "Kuja? Right? Go in and tell your father to bring all the lizardmen and their weapons and equipment out to see me. Tell him that your master has returned."

Kuja finally realized that the dragon in front of him was real. Looking at the terrifying dragon, he could only nod hurriedly and quickly burrow into the cave, afraid that if he was a step too slow, the dragon would eat him.

A short while later, Tiga led all the lizardmen out of the lair and excitedly knelt down before Agreed.

Tiga shouted, "Supreme Master, you have finally returned!"

Agreed looked down at the approximately 30,000 lizardmen below and said softly, "You have suffered these past years. I have seen your loyalty, and you have laid the foundation for me in this desert of death. Today, I have come to lead you to rule this desolate land."

Tiga, filled with remorse, kowtowed and begged for forgiveness, saying, "My lord, it is my incompetence that I failed to lead my people to conquer the Desert of Death for you. I am sorry, and I am willing to atone with my death." With that, Tiga took out his spear and prepared to end his own life.

Startled by this, Agreed immediately raised his hand and fired an air blast, knocking the spear from his hand and scolding, "What nonsense are you spouting? Giving up at the slightest setback! Death is the easiest thing to do; it's the path chosen by the weak and those defeated by despair. As a high-ranking warrior under my command, I will never allow such cowardice!"
