Chapter 111 I'm Really Jealous of Him
Chapter 111 I'm Really Jealous of Him
In the middle of the night, Ni Jia vaguely heard a noise in the drawing room, which seemed to come from downstairs.
She came out with a cup of water to check, and vaguely found four packed gift boxes next to the Christmas tree, and a vague figure on the sofa.
"Li Yucheng?"
She called out tentatively, her voice not loud, but the shadow on the sofa moved, followed by a dull response.
"it's me."
There was a strong smell of alcohol near the sofa. Ni Jia frowned and was about to turn on the light, but his wrist was suddenly grabbed.
"How much did you drink?"
Li Yucheng turned sideways, put down the arm that was resting on his forehead, and pressed his thumb against his stomach. His eyes were moist and shining in the dim environment. He just stared intently without saying a word.
Ni Jia squatted down and spoke softly: "Stomachache?"
"Ah."
Thinking of Aunt Tong's words that the other party's stomach problems have worsened in recent years, Ni Jia said with annoyance: "I'll go find some medicine."
With a pull and a tug, she lost weight and fell onto the sofa. The air was filled with the familiar smell of alcohol and the other person's body surrounded her. Ni Jia was stunned.
Like her, the other person was only wearing a thin pair of pajamas, which were very cold because there was no heating in the living room.
It took a long time for the body temperature to be transmitted through the cloth. She didn't know how long Li Yucheng had been lying there.
Then she was pulled onto the sofa and held tightly in his arms. Her hair was pressed and pulled a little painfully, so Ni Jia moved.
"Don't move." As soon as Li Yucheng opened his mouth, the smell of alcohol and his breathing became heavier.
"You're pressing on my hair." Aunt Tong was sleeping in the guest bedroom on the first floor. Ni Jia muttered, her voice as soft as a mosquito.
Li Yucheng raised his hand to push his hair out and changed his posture. This posture was more ambiguous than before. Her face was facing his Adam's apple and he said something on top of it. The sound was like a mixed sound system.
"What did you bring here?"
"Gift." Li Yucheng said as he rubbed her hair, with a heavy and long ending, typical of a drunken state.
"It's 1:30 in the morning," Ni Jia reminded him.
"Why didn't you sleep?"
"Rushing to finish the manuscript."
While being hugged, Ni Jia occasionally felt the other person's muscles tense for a moment. At first she thought it was an illusion, but this change was confirmed by Li Yucheng's occasionally heavier breathing.
She moved her hand down and pressed just below the xiphoid process, which was the spot where Li Yucheng used to have stomach pain. Sure enough, a muffled groan came from above.
She raised her head and said softly, "Old position."
"You hit me really hard," Li Yucheng held the hand, spread out his fingertips and put them back on, "It wasn't like this before."
"What was it like before?" Ni Jia didn't move, and Li Yucheng grabbed her wrist and whispered, "Rub it."
"Is your stomach cramping?" Ni Jia frowned, "It didn't happen before."
Li Yucheng lowered his head and pressed his forehead against hers. The distance was very close, but Ni Jia could still see a little bit of starlight in his eyes.
Soon afterwards, that feeling of tense muscles came back, and the force on the wrist became a little stronger. After about three or four seconds, the other person's body softened again.
"You can't rub it." Ni Jia pulled his hand back and pushed it away: "I'll go find some medicine for you."
"Is it here?" Li Yucheng asked in a softer voice, obviously feeling a little uncomfortable from the pain.
Ni Jia thought about it and finally shook his head in disappointment. There was no first aid kit at home. There were only some cough and fever-reducing medicines that he had prepared before, and they were basically children's versions.
"It's over there."
"I'll get it."
Li Yucheng didn't let go, so Ni Jia pushed again. Her fingertips touched the skin on her neck, which was a little wet. She reached out to touch her forehead, only to find her hands were covered in sweat.
"Where is the medicine?" She struggled to get up, but because the arms were wrapped tightly around her waist, she looked like she was lying on top of the other person.
"Let's go together." Li Yucheng frowned, and after a few seconds he added the second half of the sentence: "It's cold outside, put on a coat."
It was only a few steps from here to the next door. Ni Jia untied the arm from his waist and pulled Li Yucheng up from the sofa: "Can you walk?"
Li Yucheng nodded, stood up slowly, took her wrist, and walked in front unsteadily. Ni Jia sighed, took a quick step forward and supported him.
Although there was a living room as a buffer, the temperature outside was obviously several degrees lower than inside. Li Yucheng half-held her in his arms, his face turning pale with pain under the street light.
Ni Jia pursed her lips, quickly opened the door, and helped the person in.
Unlike the dim place over there, it is brightly lit here and the living room floor is a mess, with wine bottles, colorful wrapping papers, and tapes scattered everywhere.
Li Yucheng fell on the sofa as soon as he entered the room, with his arms resting on his eyes and his lips tightly pursed.
"Where's the medicine box?"
The other person pointed in a direction. Ni Jia opened the drawer under the TV cabinet, took out the medicine box, picked out the antispasmodic medicine from the various stomach medicines, and went to the kitchen to boil water.
The heating in the living room was turned on very high. Looking at the wine bottles tilted all over the place, Ni Jia was furious. He took the trash can and threw the wine into it without caring how much was left in the bottle or how expensive the wine was.
Li Yucheng lay on the sofa, staring at her with his eyes open. Ni Jia kicked the trash can aside, and the glass bottles inside made a clanging sound.
"Get up and eat."
Li Yucheng looked at the medicine, then looked at her: "You are angry."
“No one likes to take care of an alcoholic.”
"You can drink more, so that I can call 120 directly."
Ni Jia spoke calmly on the surface, but in her heart she even wanted to smash the wine cabinet. Now she was finally convinced that Li Yucheng had a problem of drinking when he was in a bad mood.
"I won't let my daughter get close to an alcoholic." She said coldly: "You decide for yourself."
As soon as he finished speaking, Li Yucheng suddenly pulled her hand, his eyes glared at her fiercely, and he looked like he wanted to eat her, but Ni Jia waited for a long time, but he didn't say anything harsh.
The other person just took a few heavy breaths, snatched the medicine from her hand, and swallowed it with water.
Then he fell back like a deflated ball and looked at her dejectedly.
"You said... can he take my place?" Li Yucheng pulled the corner of his mouth, mumbling to himself as if drunk: "No, can I take his place?"
"According to the time, my daughter should be closer to him." Li Yucheng rubbed his face and stared at her with bloodshot eyes: "What about you?"
"Do you still have a place for me in your heart?"
Li Yucheng opened the box on the coffee table, which contained various expensive watches. He didn't even look at them and just threw them to the ground.
"Why don't you give it to him?"
"Taiping still has some, you can take them all." He stood up shakily and walked to Ni Jia: "Don't worry so much next time, it's just a watch."
"It's just a watch," Ni Jia stared at him, "Do you care?"
Li Yucheng bent down, and under the influence of alcohol, he slowly closed his eyelids: "I'm really jealous of him."
