Chapter 125 Tracking Xia Yao

In the courtyard, Xia Yao, Jiang Di, and she stood together. Children were playing and resting nearby.

The midday sun was blazing, and all three of them were covered in sweat, especially Jiang Di, who looked like she had rushed over; her shirt was soaked with sweat.

Xia Lanyue looked at Jiang Di, as if she saw a glimmer of hope, and she exclaimed excitedly, "You're back?!"

Jiang Di nodded to her, then said apologetically, "My mother sent you here without telling me. She didn't know the situation and it put you in a difficult position. I've come to take you away. Now, would you like to come with me?"

Xia Lanyue nodded quickly, as if afraid that Jiang Di would change his mind if she was late, "I'll go get my bag."

Xia Yao had been standing to the side, not stopping them, but his eyes darted back and forth between the two of them. However, when he heard Xia Lanyue say that she was leaving, he couldn't help but sneer.

"You're not very mobile, so let me go get it," Jiang Di rolled her eyes at Xia Yao. "Which room is your bag in?"

Xia Lanyue pointed to her room and said, "Thank you."

"Why are you being so polite with me?" After saying that, Jiang Di started to walk towards the house.

"Wait, she only has one bundle. What if other things are stolen from my house?" Xia Yao finally spoke, but his words were immediately annoying.

Xia Lanyue glared at him, "Then I'll go get it myself."

Xia Lanyue dragged her legs and slowly walked back to the house.

Xia Yao followed her inside, saying, "I'll go take a look."

Xia Lanyue had just picked up her bundle when Xia Yao blocked her back into the house, asking, "Do you want to see Dai You?"

"You!" Jiang Di was furious and reached out to punch Xia Yao.

Xia Yao chuckled softly, then walked towards the west room, saying, "Children, come and learn."

The students in the courtyard all ran to the west room, and the surroundings became quiet, leaving only the two of them.

Jiang Di stood up, head down, not turning to look at Xia Lanyue, "Are you really not coming with me?"

She quickly lay down and pretended to be asleep.
