Chapter 135 Afraid of Ghosts!
Chapter 135 Afraid of Ghosts!
When Diana returned to the restaurant, she found that all the food in front of her seat had been eaten.
She went to her seat and looked around, but Xiaobai was nowhere to be found.
"How can this white pig eat so fast!"
Denise, who was sitting next to her, rolled her eyes and pushed her plate over. There was still a large piece of steak on it, but the edges had been bitten a few times.
"Anna, why don't you have mine? I'm on a diet right now, if you don't mind!"
Diana glanced at Denise's disproportionately large bust and figure, 'Hmm... she really should lose some weight!'
"How could I possibly look down on you! Then I won't be polite!"
After Diana finished speaking, she picked up a piece of steak and took a bite.
Denise blushed slightly, her eyes fixed on Diana as she ate. When she saw Diana bite the spot where Denise had eaten, Denise covered her face. 'Hehe~ An indirect kiss!'
Seeing this, the girls nearby knew exactly what Denise was up to and began to use their own strategies.
"Anna! This sausage is too spicy, you eat it for me!"
"Ugh, is it spicy?"
Diana went over and tried it. 'Not spicy at all, Cora!'
"Anna! Anna! There's cilantro in this soup, and I don't eat cilantro~ Please!"
Diana was speechless. "Could you be any more obvious? I just saw you put it in yourself, Jenny!"
"Sir! This chicken leg is too fatty, you can have it!"
Diana looked at the half-eaten chicken leg in Lilia's hand. 'Where's the fat in that chicken leg?'
I also saw Louise awkwardly stirring the food on her plate together. 'You wouldn't be doing that either?'
With no other option, and adhering to the principle of not wasting food, Diana finished all the remaining food.
Elua blinked her big eyes as she watched all this. She was very puzzled. Everyone had been enjoying their meal so much just now, so why did they suddenly stop liking it?
She looked at Emma, who appeared normal, standing to the side.
"Sister Emma, what's wrong with everyone?"
Emma patted her head.
"Kids shouldn't ask such questions! Eat your food!"
······
Nighttime, in Diana's room.
Diana, who was lying in bed, suddenly opened her eyes. Looking at the familiar ceiling in front of her, she wiped away the cold sweat and couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief.
"Thank goodness it was just a dream! Otherwise, it would have been too scary!"
Diana just had a nightmare in which several girls were fighting over her. To stop them, Diana cut herself into several pieces and gave one piece to each of them.
Diana felt something was wrong, so she reached out and touched the side, but there was nothing there.
She sat up abruptly, glanced around, and realized she was alone on the bed.
The room was eerily quiet, with only the sound of her own increasingly heavy breathing.
"Denise? Lilia? Elua? Little White!"
"Strange! Where did they all go?"
Diana felt inexplicably uneasy and hurriedly got out of bed, going to the door without even putting on her shoes.
She slowly turned the doorknob, and the wooden door creaked and scraped against the floor.
Through the crack in the door, Diana could see the dark corridor outside. She swallowed hard, but decided to go out and take a look anyway.
Leaving the room, the corridor was really dark; she could only vaguely see things within a few meters.
Diana walked slowly along the wall to the door of a room, where she knocked anxiously.
"Cora! Are you there? Open the door, it's me!"
There was no response from inside the room, only the echoes of her knocking and speaking in the hallway.
Diana tried to turn the doorknob, but found it wouldn't budge. She could only continue walking forward and try it on several other doors, but with the same result.
Diana continued walking forward and finally reached the stairs. She suddenly stopped, her body trembling slightly, because she heard a smacking sound coming from the dark downstairs.
After hesitating for a long time, she finally walked down the stairs step by step, even though she was very scared.
As Diana descended the stairs, the sound of chewing grew clearer, and her heartbeat quickened.
Diana followed the figure to the first-floor lobby, scanned the area, but found nothing frightening.
Continuing her search for the sound, she walked into the first-floor corridor, where the kitchen was located. In the distance, she saw a ray of orange-yellow light, which was leaking through the crack in the kitchen door. The source of the sound was also coming from the kitchen.
Diana crept closer, peered through the crack in the door, and her pupils constricted sharply. She quickly covered her mouth with one hand to stifle any sound.
Inside the kitchen, several people were standing with their backs to her in front of a table, eating something. Judging from the red liquid flowing on the floor and the severed limbs, it was clear what they were eating!
Suddenly, a bloodshot eye filled Diana's entire field of vision.
"Ghost!"
Diana screamed and fell backward.
Diana's body jerked, and she abruptly opened her eyes. The familiar ceiling was still there. She wiped the cold sweat from her forehead.
Diana sat up abruptly, rubbing her cheeks vigorously. The real touch relieved her. She glanced around the room and realized she was still all alone.
There are no ghosts in this world! Don't be afraid! Don't be afraid!
Diana kept encouraging herself. She rolled out of bed, feeling very uncomfortable being alone.
Leaving the room, Diana opened each of the other people's rooms one by one, only to find them all empty. This made her uneasy again, so she quickened her pace and went down to the first floor.
Diana heard a soft chewing sound, and her body began to tremble involuntarily. She followed the sound to the kitchen doorway.
Diana swallowed hard, then suddenly pushed open the door.
The sudden noise startled everyone in the kitchen. They all looked towards the door, saw the person who had entered, and spoke up at the same time.
"Anna!"
Suddenly, Diana plopped down on the ground, her silvery eyes blurry, and then she began to cry.
The girls were terrified and ran over immediately.
Because they were being stubborn at dinner and gave all their food to Diana, they woke up hungry in the middle of the night. They then ran to the kitchen to find something to eat, which Diana discovered. They thought she was acting this way because they hadn't called her to eat.
"It's all our fault! Anna, don't cry, we'll definitely call you next time!"
"Anna! There's still plenty of food, it's all yours!"
Several girls comforted Diana, and even Little White climbed onto her shoulder, patted her head, and tried to soothe her.
Diana wiped away her tears, realizing that the others had misunderstood. She was too embarrassed to explain, so she could only nod.
'I can't exactly say I'm afraid of ghosts! That's just too creepy!'
