Chapter 128: Women are not allowed to stay in college
Inside the hall, only Diana and Queen Mel were present.
"Sister Mei'er, we've almost used up the Water of Life! Would you like me to replenish it?"
"You want the Water of Life again, don't you!"
Diana did not deny it.
"Indeed! That's good stuff. Give me a dozen or so bottles, just in case!"
Queen Mel rolled her eyes. "You just casually gave me a dozen or so bottles? The Water of Life is so precious it's priced by the drop, but you're charging by the bottle!"
"No way! The water of life isn't like cabbage!"
Queen Mel agreed to give Diana three bottles of treated Water of Life, as she had given so much. The elves no longer needed Water of Life, and there was no need for an elf nearing her end to sacrifice herself to produce it.
Upon re-entering the Tree of Life, Diana observed that half of the green liquid remained inside the stump.
"Sister Mei'er, should we get a few more containers? I'll fill them all up!"
Mei'er was speechless. "You think you have too much of your own life essence?"
"No need, Anna, wasting your life essence like this will affect your lifespan!"
Diana was somewhat surprised; she really didn't know that.
"Sister Mei'er, how much will this shorten your lifespan?!"
Mei'er's eyes held a complex expression.
"Humans can live for about 200 years when their level is raised to the limit. Other races are different; their lifespan is generally determined by the amount of their life attribute."
"Therefore, by consuming a large amount of your life attribute, you are essentially consuming your lifespan. Even if your attributes are very high, you cannot consume them in this way!"
At first, Diana was a little worried, but when she heard that the upper limit of life determines lifespan, she breathed a sigh of relief, as she had plenty of that.
"Then it's alright, Sister Mei, don't worry! I know what I'm doing."
Diana experienced the exhilarating feeling of power being drained from her body once again, and even after filling the tree stump with the life-giving water, she still felt unsatisfied.
Queen Mel had no choice but to step forward to stop her. She truly didn't understand whether consuming life essence and magic power was a comfortable thing.
"Anna, that's enough!"
The two left the interior of the Tree of Life.
"Anna, it will take some time to process the Water of Life. Come again tomorrow."
When Diana left, she gave Queen Meryl a spatial coordinate crystal so that she could find her in the future.
Back at Eve's house, Eve took the two of them hunting. This was an experience that Isia had never tried before. During the hunt, she gradually got used to it and was able to speak indistinctly, finally able to understand the general meaning.
The two were having a great time, completely forgetting about the hero who was anxiously waiting for them.
It wasn't until nightfall that Diana remembered she had to go back. After saying goodbye, the two returned to Candice's courtyard.
Sure enough, Enoch was still waiting. When he saw the two return, he immediately went up to check on them. He looked at Isia and found that she could indeed see. He breathed a sigh of relief. Although her originally black pupils had turned green, it was still better than not being able to see anything at all.
"Miss Diana, you've been a great help this time. If you ever need anything from me in the future, just let me know!"
"Okay, okay, I understand!"
After thanking him, Enoch planned to leave with Isia, but when he tried to pull her away, he couldn't budge her, which puzzled him.
"Xiaoya, what's wrong? Let's go back. We'll stay in the palace for now."
Isia stammered:
"I...don't...want to leave, I want to stay...with Diana!"
Enoch paused for a second, then looked at Diana, his eyes filled with question, 'You just kidnapped my sister whom I've raised for over ten years?'
Diana rolled her eyes at him.
Why are you looking at me like that? She's your sister, not mine!
Inocera took Isiah's hand.
"Xiaoya, be good, come back with me, I can protect you!"
Isia broke free of her grip and went to Diana's side.
"Diana, you can protect me, right?"
Diana looked at Isia's expectant eyes and couldn't bear to refuse. After all, her manor was so big that one more person wouldn't make a difference.
“It’s not impossible, Enoch. Why don’t you come to Oliver City with us? You can take care of your sister.”
Enoch's expression kept changing. He really wanted to stay by his sister's side, but if he went there, he wouldn't be able to see Princess Lana.
He recalled the attack the saintess had made; he was still too weak to protect his sister. She was much safer with Miss Diana than with him.
After weighing the pros and cons, Enoch bowed again.
"Then I'll leave Xiaoya in your care, Miss Diana. I'm still too weak right now, and I need to stay in the capital to continue my training!"
"Okay! I'll make sure she gets to study hard over there."
Enoch turned and slowly walked out of the yard, his back looking somewhat lonely.
"Brother! You must take good care of yourself!"
Enoch's eyes welled up with tears; he was deeply moved. 'So, Aya still cares about me, her older brother!'
"Don't cause any trouble, or Diana will have to come and save you!"
Isia's next words shattered his heart, leaving him deeply moved. 'Can I still keep this sister? She's only been with someone else for two days, and she's already abandoned her own brother!'
Enoch left heartbroken, without looking back.
After taking Isia back to his manor, everything returned to normal for the next few days, and Isia was arranged to go to school.
The girls got along very well.
During the holidays, Diana took them out to play. Little Black was left at Mrs. Fu's house. After all, Diana didn't need to ride horses much anymore, so leaving him there would still allow him to play a role, such as going hunting with Eve.
During this time, Oliver City was also undergoing tremendous changes. Thanks to the efficiency of the entire population's efforts, the power lines had been basically laid, making Oliver City the first city that never sleeps.
The darkness no longer restricts people's lives, and people have experienced the convenience of technology.
More facilities are being built near Oliver City, and Adolf already knows that many civilians are on their way there. He has been preparing for this for some time, so that these people will have a place to live and something to do.
Reforms are also taking place in the capital.
The king laughed for a long time after hearing from his secret guards what had happened outside the city.
"I never thought she had a moment of fear. This Diana is truly something else!"
Subsequently, the king issued a series of policies, not only exempting people from entering the city but also reducing various taxes significantly. Many of these policies were similar to those issued by Oliver City.
The church took no further action.
On a mountain peak, the space rippled, and several figures appeared out of thin air.
The elderly man at the head of the group was looking into the distance; it was Gene.
"Once you get to Anna, please help her out. When you see her, tell her to come back to the maze when she has time. I have something to tell her."
Jilong had clearly not been out for a long time, and he was quite excited looking at the surrounding scenery.
"Don't worry, teacher! I will definitely keep a close eye on Anna!"
"I will not back down from anyone who tries to harm Anna, not even the Lord, no, not even that woman!"
"With the number one genius of my dragon clan here, I doubt anyone would dare to act recklessly!"
After saying goodbye to Gene, Jilong transformed into a dragon and flew into the sky.
