Chapter 319 319: Epilogue (Part 3)

The last time I checked, it had been days without any updates after chapter 318, but I recently took a look and it seems the author posted one more chapter to wrap up the story. Unfortunately, I only saw it now. Here is the last chapter extra, sorry :(

"I've got a bad feeling about this!"

At the dining table inside the Demon King's Castle, Fíliya gave a full-body shudder.

"What's wrong?"

Solitär was the first to ask.

"Soon, a whole bunch of people are going to come here and mooch off our food..."

Fíliya placed both hands on Solitär's shoulders and shook her, a look of terror on her face.

"Is that so. How terrifying."

Solitär shot her an exasperated glare.

"It really is terrifying! We've finally managed to grow a little food on this barren land of ours, and now a bunch of shameless freeloaders are about to show up and eat it all for free—how is that not terrifying?!"

Fíliya said with a deadly serious expression.

"That does sound pretty terrifying."

Aura and Tot chimed in, equally solemn.

"I really don't get you. If you're short on food, just send me—or go yourself—on a trip to the human world, problem solved... There are countless ways to get food."

Sitting beside Fíliya, Serie wore a look of disdain.

After all, for someone like her, who was used to being waited on by humans, life here at Fíliya's place really was a bit hard... though, it wasn't all that bad either.

"You shut your mouth. This is our Demon Race's turf, and this is our great national undertaking! Who gave you, an Elf, permission to butt in?"

Fíliya glared viciously at Serie, which stoked a bit of anger in Serie as well.

"You want to fight?"

Though Serie was no match for Fíliya, she was also the only one in this world who could trade blows with Fíliya, even a little.

"Ho? Still talking back, are you? If I don't teach you a lesson today, you'll never understand what it means to call me the Lord Demon King!"

Fíliya rolled up her sleeves and stood right up.

Back when she was still human, she would at least show Serie a little respect, but now? She had completely climbed over Serie's head.

"Um... Lord Demon King, if you fight with Serie, our fields will be destroyed, and everyone will go hungry again."

Tot cautioned carefully.

"Tch..."

Hearing this, Fíliya grudgingly sat back down in her seat, then continued glaring at Serie with a fierce look in her eyes.

As she spoke, Fíliya lay down on her side, right across Miss Sense's lap, as if she had made up her mind about something.
