Chapter 255 Almost Got Beaten

Lin Yue was awakened by her phone ringing.

She checked her phone; it was eight o'clock. She was horrified when she saw the caller ID.

Oh no, I got home too late last night, not going to bed until almost 5 a.m., so I naturally forgot that Li Yuetian was supposed to tutor me every morning at 8 a.m.!

She knew he was already at the door when she called, so she shouted into the phone, "Come open the door right away!" as she rushed into the bathroom, splashed some cold water on her face, and quickly combed her hair.

When the door opened, Li Yuetian was standing there, still wearing that neat white shirt, holding a few study materials and two breakfasts in his hands.

Lin Yue smiled awkwardly, then noticed the breakfast in Li Yuetian's hand. She felt a little embarrassed and said, "No, I just overslept." After all, it was her own fault, and Lin Yue was really embarrassed to have made Li Yuetian come all this way for nothing.

She quickly stepped aside to let Li Yuetian into the house, taking the breakfast and tutoring materials from his hands. "You bought breakfast again?" Lin Yue's voice carried a hint of panic. Li Yuetian entered the house and said gently, "It's okay, I need some too, it's just something I did."

Lin Yue placed the breakfast on the table, and after eating, the two began their class. Li Yuetian continued to explain in great detail, and Lin Yue tried her best to keep up, but she would occasionally drift off into thought.

There was nothing that could be done about it; she hadn't slept well last night. Li Yuetian frowned as he watched Lin Yue begin to doze off again. Something was wrong; he had been much stricter, and it had already lost its effect after only a few days? So he put on a stern face and stood up.

Seeing his attitude, Lin Yue panicked and quickly explained, "I...I didn't sleep well last night, that's why I was distracted. I promise it won't happen again."

"Not sleeping well is not an excuse, and if you really didn't sleep well, why didn't you text me? If you keep doing this, I might really take action."

Li Yuetian hesitated for a moment, but considering Lin Yue's lack of interest in studying, he decided to do as his sister said. He stood up, walked to Lin Yue's side, and without hesitation, reached out and pulled her up, pressing her down onto the table.

Lin Yue was completely taken aback by this action, her body jolted, and she instantly regained her senses.

Just as she was about to struggle, she suddenly heard Li Yuetian say in an unusually serious tone, "Don't move, this is the punishment you deserve." Lin Yue's body stiffened instantly.

Before Lin Yue could recover from her shock, Li Yuetian rolled the book into a tube.

Lin Yue's face flushed crimson instantly. She understood what he was about to do, and a mixture of shame and anger welled up inside her, causing her body to tremble slightly. She stared wide-eyed at Li Yuetian in disbelief.

"You're a pervert!" Lin Yue finally couldn't take it anymore. She quickly broke free from Li Yuetian's grasp and stared at him warily.

"I never imagined you were this kind of person!" Lin Yue's tone was filled with disappointment and anger, but her heart was pounding: "I really misjudged you!"

However, in stark contrast to Lin Yue's excitement, Li Yuetian remained unusually calm. Although his heart was pounding and he was extremely nervous, he appeared remarkably composed. He gazed at Lin Yue with a serious expression, showing no sign of backing down.

“Then let me ask you,” Li Yuetian’s voice was deep and powerful, “I painstakingly prepare lessons for you every day, highlight the key points for you, and arrive at your house at eight o’clock every morning to tutor you. Lin Yue was momentarily speechless at the question. Thinking it over carefully, she realized that Li Yuetian had indeed been diligently tutoring her all along, and she had seen all his efforts. But what he had just done made her both ashamed and angry. "Well...you can't do it this way," Lin Yue said, her face flushed and her voice softening.

Li Yuetian took a deep breath. "I had no choice." His tone revealed a sense of helplessness. "You've been daydreaming and not taking your studies seriously. I already warned you last time, but you didn't take my words seriously!"

However, his back was already soaked with cold sweat, which clearly showed that he was not as calm as he appeared. "Sister! This is what you taught me! Please bless me, don't let Lin Yue hate me." He prayed silently in his heart.

Lin Yue wasn't intimidated by Li Yuetian's tone. When she carefully observed his eyes, she found that there was no panic in them, nor any excitement after hitting her. All she saw was deep disappointment and anger.

A wave of guilt washed over Lin Yue. She realized that her actions had truly disappointed Li Yuetian. She lowered her head, avoiding his gaze, and whispered, "I'm sorry, it was my fault. I shouldn't have neglected my studies."

Seeing that Lin Yue had finally realized her mistake and was so sincere, Li Yuetian's tone did not soften: "There will be no next time."

Lin Yue was taken aback; she hadn't expected Li Yuetian's attitude to be so resolute. She looked up at Li Yuetian's serious expression and felt a pang of guilt.

The two sat down again, and this time Lin Yue was exceptionally attentive, no longer lost in thought. Time flew by, and the morning's tutoring session came to an end.

Li Yuetian carefully organized the books, then let out a long sigh of relief, as if a heavy burden had been lifted from his shoulders. His expression relaxed as well.

"You did well today," Li Yuetian said shyly, scratching his head.

Lin Yue rolled her eyes at him, a slight smile playing on her lips. "Kid, you've really opened my eyes. You're a completely different person when you're teaching." She thought to herself, Li Yuetian's fierce demeanor in class had really frightened her quite a bit. She did feel a little guilty, and she was genuinely afraid of him.

Seeing this, Li Yuetian couldn't help but feel a little remorseful and quickly explained, "I wouldn't dare. I was a bit too harsh just now. Did I scare you?" His tone revealed a hint of apology.

However, Lin Yue didn't take it to heart. She waved her hand and said, "Actually, I think you teach very well. You'll definitely be a good teacher in the future."

Hearing Lin Yue's words, Li Yuetian felt a surge of warmth in his heart. He looked at Lin Yue gratefully and said, "Thank you for your recognition. I will continue to work hard."

Just then, Li Yuetian's stomach suddenly made a rumbling sound, which seemed particularly abrupt in the quiet atmosphere. His face turned red instantly, making people want to laugh.

"Hahaha..." Lin Yue couldn't help but cover her mouth and chuckle when she saw this. This was the honest and simple Li Yuetian she remembered.

He was like a completely different person that morning, so fierce that she almost thought he was possessed by something. But to be honest, she wasn't that disgusted with him.

Li Yuetian scratched his head awkwardly, "I didn't eat much this morning, and I'm a little hungry now." Lin Yue smiled and said, "Then let's do it the same as usual, I'll treat you to dinner." Li Yuetian wanted to refuse, but the rumbling of his stomach made him nod.

After finishing her meal, Lin Yue returned home and, finally feeling too tired to resist, went to bed to catch up on her sleep.

Lin Yue slept until evening, and when she woke up, only the last rays of sunlight remained on the horizon. She sat up groggily, and her phone screen lit up with a message from Li Yuetian: "Thank you for treating me to dinner today too."
